The 500-seat, Runnels Theater for the Performing Arts, was completed in 2001. Since then student (Jr. High and High School) productions of theatrical favorites and less well known works have included Shooting Stars, Steel Magnolias, Diary of Anne Frank, The Belle of Amherst, and Room Service. In January of 2004, the Jr. High and High School drama, choral, band, and dance departments worked together to bring the classic musical, Oklahoma!, to the stage.
